I'm twice divorced and have three daughters, Melanie, Christine and Jessica, and then my grandson Brandon.

I was born into a Mormon family. At about the age of 13, I began to have doubts about Mormonism, and by the time I was 17 I was inactive.

Since then, I've searched for a spiritual tradition that “fits”. Of course, as I've changed, my vision of what fits has changed too.  So, I've been involved as a Methodist, a Pagan, a Quaker and various flavors of Buddhist.  But there has always been a strain of mysticism and a desire to be of service in whatever path I was on.  I'm inclined towards Buddhism now, but my practice is just barely imperfect. LOL  But Buddhism has brought me tremendous peace in the past. 

I've had major depressive disorder (MDD) since my teens.  I've been hospitalized for causes related to MDD and anxiety eight times.  This often derails any plans I've made.  I also carry the accumulated pain from Borderline Personality Disorder.  It's said (and this IS so often me):

Borderlines desperately want to be loved, but their illness makes them at times seem unlovable. They are terrified of being abandoned, yet are powerless to keep the illness from destroying relationships.
